Terms of Agreement for Crew Castle Accommodations

Welcome to Crew Castle of Fort Lauderdale. By staying with us, all guests agree to adhere to the following terms, which are designed to ensure a secure, clean, and supportive environment for all residents.

1. House Atmosphere and Rules

  • Structured Environment: Our house operates like a yacht or boarding school. Guests are expected to contribute to maintaining a positive and professional environment.
  • Music and Noise Levels: Music on the patio must remain at a low volume out of respect for our neighbors. An 11:00 p.m. noise curfew is enforced to ensure guests can rest adequately for work or classes.
  • Teaching and Networking: Crew Castle fosters a teaching atmosphere. Networking is a key benefit of staying here, and guests are invited to share tips about crew agencies, opportunities and other yachting essentials.
  • Non-Party Policy: This is not a party house. Any behavior that disrupts the house environment will not be tolerated.

2. Environmental Responsibility

  • Water Conservation: ** At Crew Castle, sustainability is a core value. We encourage our guests to use water thoughtfully, contributing to the conservation of this vital resource.
  • Dishwashing Policy: Dishes must also be cleaned using the same conservation principles. If you are unwilling to follow these eco-friendly practices, this accommodation may not be suitable for you.
  • Energy Efficiency: To combat Florida’s heat, we utilize double and triple insulating curtains to reduce energy consumption.

3. Guest Screening and Continuation of Stay

  • Invitation Policy: Guests are approved to stay on a week-by-week basis. Crew Castle reserves the right to deny continuation of stay to individuals who disrupt the house’s secure and clean atmosphere or violate its rules.
  • Behavior Standards: All guests are expected to follow the rules and maintain amicable relations with housemates.

4. Cleanliness and Maintenance

  • Personal Responsibility: we kindly ask our guest to maintain a clean and organized environment
  • Storage: Lockers are provided in each room for secure storage. Guests must supply their own padlocks.

5. Amenities Provided

  • Two 54-inch flat-screen TVs in the common areas and 34-inch flat-screen TVs in each bedroom.
  • High-speed wireless internet throughout the house.
  • A fully equipped kitchen with two stoves, three ovens, and five refrigerators.
  • Bed linens, pillows, and blankets are provided. Guests must wash their own linens. Bath towel rental is available for $10 per stay, with a complimentary beach towel upon request.

6. Reputation and Guest Standards

  • Professional Standards: Crew Castle has built a reputation as a top-tier crew house. Captains appreciate that we host serious and professional marine industry members.
  • Pest-Free Environment: We uphold strict cleanliness standards to prevent pests such as bed bugs, ensuring that our guests and their future workplaces remain uncompromised.
